Hi there crafty person, thanks for
dropping by.
I am Sooz and I am a craft addict, I would quite like you to be one too by sharing my skills. I have been crafting for as long as I can remember and I find it much preferable to housework, so I do lots of it. From knitting, crochet, machine sewing, patchwork... the list seems endless, there is not much I will not have a go at.
I started teaching in 2005 when I opened my first business The Bead Shed. I taught jewellery making, bead-weaving and Glass Lampwork beads too. I wrote quite a lot of tutorials for magazines and was even featured in a book!
When that business dwindled due to recession, I went on to work at Hobbycraft - working in a craft store when you are a crafter is very dangerous business, but I found myself rediscovering old crafts, learned but nearly forgotten, and started teaching textile crafts such as knitting, crochet, EPP patchwork and machine skills.
I was invited to Hobbycraft head office to feature on some of their You Tube videos, I have also written some tutorials for their blog.
I am happy to share my skills with others, I love to see people's faces when they master a skill and produce something pretty. I especially like working with young people and hopefully helping to mould them into future crafters.
I will be joined by other crafters - guest tutors if you like, who will offer many different things. If you don't see it and would like to try it, please ask, I might just know someone....
